In April 1975 George English founded G. English Electronics Ltd., initially to buy and sell surplus electronic components. With a keen understanding of Far Eastern cultures gained from his time in the Royal Navy, George developed many business relationships with companies in the region. Many of those are still in place today, including our partnership with Sunon.
George’s son, David, took over running the business in 1999 and has continued and built on those relationships, making frequent trips to the Far East. On his most recent visit to Sunon, Dave was presented with an award, celebrating our 50th anniversary, by SUNON Executive Vice President Simon Wu and Business Unit Director Ruchen Lin.
