SUNON’s Electronically Commutated (EC) AC fans (ranging from 60 mm to 250 mm) feature constant airflow stability and durable thermal effectiveness. This range is suitable for industrial and commercial applications, such as commercial refrigeration, medical freezers, and more.

Gelec works with Sunon to provide you with the EC fans you need, configured as you need them to both fit into your product and to maximise assembly efficiency.

What are EC fans?

Electronically Commutated (EC) fans have an alternating current (AC) input but are able to convert this to a direct current (DC) voltage. This makes SUNON EC fans much more efficient, with a 120x38mm EC Fan offering an 83% power (watts) saving compared to its AC equivalent.

ATEX conforming

Abbreviation for “Atmospheres Explosibles”, ATEX is required for applications where flammable gasses or combustible dust is present in the air. SUNON EC fans conform to ATEX regulations, and certified by the likes of UL and CE/TUV.

Protection from Dust & Fluid

Targeted at industrial and refrigeration markets, ingress protection (IP) is a common requirement for EC fan applications. Options range from IP21 conformal coating up to a fully-sealed IP68 offering.

MagLev EC Fans

Where most manufacturers list 80x25mm as the smallest of their AC fan offerings, SUNON has options at 60mm, 70mm, 80mm & 92mm. When you need compact yet powerful AC fans, our range of MagLev EC fans are the ideal solution. Their performance compares favourably with traditional AC fans of similar size, but efficiency (power) is where they offer a considerable advantage.

Managed Logistics

Economies of scale delivered through larger order quantities help you manage unit costs, but can come with logistics complications.

We will store them for you, shipping them to your assembly location on an agreed schedule. We will work with you to forecast when you need to order more stock so you never run out too. We also keep a range of standard fans in stock at our UK Head Office.
