Supporting you from concept to delivery
Our customers cover a wide range of sectors including automotive, consumer, medical and instrumentation, and have benefitted from partnering with our expert teams at the early stages of design. Work with Gelec and you will be allocated a dedicated Project Manager based in the UK who will oversee all areas from order release to full approval of samples.
The typical compression moulding journey
Design for Manufacture is available prior to tooling to identify possible manufacturing issues or complexities. We also manage new and modified tooling requirements, optimising web design to determine key travel and actuation force. Regular progress updates from our Project Manager means you can adopt a less “hands-on” approach and free your own team from overseas travel – costly from both a time and financial perspective.
Supply arrangements are designed to maximise manufacturing lot sizes, delivering greater consistency and optimising costs, with warehousing in the UK and Hong Kong available to support scheduled deliveries or ‘Just In Time’ requirements. We can customise packaging to minimise transport costs and maximise handling efficiencies on customer assembly lines, with options with recyclable packaging and the removal of single-use plastics.
We provide bespoke supply arrangements from our London warehouse for your UK and European manufacturing sites. We have a dedicated Gelec Logistics Centre based in Hong Kong to support requirements across Asia and the Americas.
Quality control at every part of the process
Gelec products are RoHS and REACH compliant. Our Account Management team will monitor consumption rates and keep you informed of any changes to lead times, ensuring uninterrupted, cost-effective supply. Regular monitoring of tool health identifies potential supply risks and the need for replacement tools.
